INDONESIA: WHEN TO GO?

Indonesia has only two seasons, dry and rainy. Dry season is usually between March and September. But there is still a possibility that rain will continue to fall due to erratic wind movements. Dry season is the most favorite time to visit Indonesia. July is the best month to have vacation in Indonesia because it’s school holidays and the weather is good. July is also a summer vacation in Europe. This makes some tourist destinations in Indonesia crowded with domestic and foreign tourists. But make sure to book your hotel and tickets far before the day.

Lombok is one of the best places to visit in Indonesia during dry season. Lombok Island is an Indonesian tourism icon that has an exotic nature and several small islands around it with beautiful views. This island is located in West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, East of Bali. Most visitors come to Lombok to enjoy the warm weather and lovely beaches, swimming, snorkelling, diving and surfing. The temperatures in dry season is normally between 27 C and 32 C. There are three popular Gilis in Lombok named Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air. Gili Trawangan the most famous and the biggest one, Gili Trawangan is so beautiful with its with sand, crystal clear water, and corals with adorable ornamental fish. You can also have BBQ time or party under the moonlight.

Rainy season in Indonesia is between October and February. But I don’t really recommend you to visit Indonesia during this season, especially to visit Jakarta. Because there will be heavy rain and floods in some locations in Jakarta. But don’t worry, Indonesia still have many places to explore. You can feel the sensation of soaking in hot water during the cold rainy season in a hot spring. Imagine soaking in hot water while enjoying little rain drops with cool air. But remember to not do this during heavy rain. There are several famous hot springs in Indonesia, such as hot spring in Baturaden, Guci, Candi Umbul, Cisolok, and many more.
